The KFS-30 Cordless Driver is designed for low to medium volume users of KATO Tangless and tanged CoilThread inserts. The KFS-30 is the industry’s first and only cordless tool that utilizes a Prewinder, which compresses the insert allowing for much easier and reliable installation.

The KFS-30 can install inserts from 2-56 and M2.5 up to 1/4” and M6, all powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The KFS-30 is the industry's first auto-reversing cordless driver. Once the insert is installed the driver will automatically reverse minimizing overall installation time. The KFS-30 utilizes a powerful brushless motor and only one torque adjusting compression spring, simplifying the setup process. The KFS-30’s highly adjustable torque ensures consistent installation and prolongs the life of the installation tool.

The KFS-30 cordless driver has two installation options: the KATO Prewinder Electric (KPE) installation tool and the KATO Hex Electric (KHE) installation tool.

For Improved Tangless installation UNF & Metric thread sizes use a different installation mandrel for Free-Running and Locking CoilThread inserts, this is indicated by the -F and -L designation in the part number. KATO strongly recommends using the Prewinder Electric Tool for Fine and Metric thread size.
